Homeopathy & protocols
'oxymoronic' not 'homeopathic' - the clarification
Homeopathy is always highly personalized.
Homeopathy recognizes that the prescribed homeopathic medicine fits the symptoms of the person - not the name of the disease.1
Homeopathy is never guesswork—it’s a precise, standardized system that quantifies individual suffering by turning symptoms (left) into data points that match remedies with similar profiles (right).
Repertorization, as shown above, involves systematically cross-referencing symptoms in a repertory (an index to the Materia Medica) to identify the most similar homeopathic medicines.
In this case, Ranunculus bulbosus was selected as the most similar homeopathic medicine - the simillimum - after extensive study of Materia Medica, even though it wasn’t ranked first.
*repost and (sadly) updated from 2024*
A homeopath worth their salt is able to apply coherence in their working knowledge of homeopathic principles - particularly the therapeutic similitude principle - aka like with like.2
After all, a word is a construct…
homeo-, pref. Gk. homoio-, form of homoios, used in compounds , ‘like, similar’, fr. homos, ‘same’. See homo-, pref., fr. Gk. homos for *somos, ‘the same’; cogn. w.Scrt. sama-; O. Slav. samu; Goth. sama. See same. Form used in compounds, usually of Greek origin; denoting the same, of the same kind; contrasted with hetero-.
-pathy, suff. (1. pathi; 2. pepi) representing Gk. -patheia, in homoipatheia, ‘similar feeling, equal suffering’, see homoeopathy, fr. Gk. path(os), ‘suffering’, see pathos. Used to form ns., indicating methods of curative treatment, e.g. allopathy.3
Homeopathy is reliable when based on the objective signs and key symptoms associated with a well-established homeopathic medicine AND its similarity to the individual.4
To clarify,
Homeopathy is not the exclusive use of homeopathic medicines -
it is, first and foremost,
- the successful application of the Law of Similars.
*
For example,
‘…without its philosophy, one may use homoeopathic medicines, even homoeopathically, but one is no homoeopath, and one will never get uniform nor satisfactory results. One will never even recognize the significance of the results one does get, not know how to deal with them.’ M. L. Tyler (1912)5
Non-individualized homeopathy = nomeopathy
(not homeopathy)
This is a WARNING to be wary of shameless sellers of proprietary aka invented aka unscientific ‘homeopathic protocols’ such as an ‘8 week radiation detox’ which might actually harm you and your family… and cause unnecessary suffering
Now, in 2026, nomeopathy has become even more ridiculous with, for example, the selling of ‘homeopathic desensitization protocols’
(I wish I was joking)
This is faux-meopathy, no-meopathy, mixopathy, oxymoronic - take your pick.
In Australia at the beginning of the twentieth century homeopathy was well accepted, including by homeopaths…6
Our current reality is that homeopathy is in undoubtable decline.7
(my heart hurts every time I am required to make people aware of all of this)
A person selling you ‘protocols’ is doing it wrong…
*
The trend of selling ‘homeopathic protocols’ - by profit-driven nomeopaths (yes, I said it) - may trace back to D.W. Everitt, an English pharmacist who coined “tautopathy” advocating its after use of (his?) pharmaceutical treatments.8
*
Most ‘protocols’ lack broad scientific evidence,9 and are not homeopathic.10
For example,
many ‘homeopathic protocols’ for the treatment of ‘covid-19 like’ symptoms were designed - which typically do not conform to proven homeopathy i.e., individualization and the single remedy, which together trump in every scenario.11
*
A case in point here is that China officianlis was suggested, in 2021, to be the ‘medicine genius’ for covid19-like symptoms12 but, by 2023, worldwide data showed otherwise…1314
*
There is an important difference between homeopathy and other methodologies using homeopathic remedies (nomeopathy)…
Homeopathy has an actual evidence base15

‘In contrast to frequent claims, the available Meta Analyses of homoeopathy in placebo-controlled randomised trials for any indication show significant positive effects beyond placebo. Compared to other medical interventions, the quality of evidence for efficacy of homoeopathy was similar or higher than for 90% of interventions across medicine. Accordingly, the efficacy evidence from placebo-controlled randomised trials provides no justification for regulatory or political actions against homoeopathy in health-care systems.’34

Homeopathy & Parasitism
Homeopathic medicines, by their very nature, are unable to bring about damaging effects which cause structural changes i.e., basophil degranulation, in the same way which all drugs and poisons do
