Thank you Sarah for this opportunity. I think it's about time that we no longer duck under the ignorant criticism and mockery of mainstream 'so-called science' and clever clogs, who confuse homœopathy with 'herbalism' or 'snake oil'.
We have to celebrate Hahnemann's genius! If not now when?! If not us who?!
"the minimal, or infinitesimal dose, based on the discovery of French mathematician and first President of the Royal Prussian Academy of Science Pierre Louis Maupertius (1698-1759) who discovered that, “The quantity of action necessary to affect any change in nature is the least possible, the decisive amount is always a minimum, an infinitesimal.”
The Law of Infinitesimal Dose (most interesting) ... I'm reckoning is found in all living (self-organising) systems - efficiency in the proper way. And the complete opposite of the top-down command-and-control hierarchical systems which are hugely inefficient, requiring increasing violence and 'collateral damage' to maintain themselves.
It also reminds me of Milton Trager's method of bodywork and healing - with the practice of jumping from ever higher stools, and landing more and more softly.
Thank you Veronika, a wonderful insight into how fundamentally different homeopathy is from a pharmaceutical approach -- and how we can expand our thinking about what homeopathy is and how it works beyond remedies. I'm committed in my practice to long-form initial intakes of 2-3 hours. Sometimes I have a very clear idea of a remedy within 30 minutes -- but I find that the process of questioning is valuable for both of us. Often the person has never had the opportunity to tell their whole story, and put the pieces together -- not for a therapist or a doctor -- because bits are left out in those contexts. And for me, it's not just about finding a remedy, it's about understanding what is the core issue holding all of the imbalance in place.
I've been reading some of Joe Dispenza's work and wondering (a) if that process of questioning and understanding contributes to the healing, and (b) how we could possibly leverage the process throughout to support more efficient and effective healing. I wonder if you see a relationship here, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
It sounds a lot like Freud's talking therapy. I know Freud has been dismissed as a quack by all eminent psychiatrists who follow the pharma route. As if that is helping people.
But I have read Freud and he was right about talk therapy. People today are starved for real communication. Starved. The mainstream medical communuty is oblivious to this need, including my GP who spends 5 whole minutes with me. And always seems rushed. Thankfully, I have little need for his expertise!
Much can be done to improve a person's health by having a trained person listen intently and offer compassionate caring advice, with or without remedy. This sounds like what you do, Veronika, and it sounds what the heart of homepathy is. A holistic approach of the human in front of you. Not a machine of body parts, but a whole person.
I agree, of course, talking therapy is very important for connection and communication. However, what I do is nothing like the 'talking therapy' introduced by Freud. The psycho-scientific mindset of the Freudian era assumed that the therapist has all the answers and can fix the patient. (I am not a fan of Freudian psychoanalysis.)
The 'homœopathic talking therapy' I am referring to here doesn't give any advice. What I offer is questions. By asking the right questions, clients find their own answers (which the therapists can perhaps guess but never know). The impulse for healing comes when the person discovers their own truth.
Sounds sensible; I did not mean to suggest that the therapist has all the answers but acts more as a gentle guide. I mentioned Freud in relation to talk therapy in contra to the crazy level of drug pushing of modern psychiatrists and doctors, which is one of the biggest problems with modern medicine--its total lack of ethics. Very little communication and much pill pushing. All done in a cold patronizing manner.
Yes, the drug pushing machine is truly a crazy one! Shoving their toxic stuff down the throats even of kids at a younger and younger age.... it is terrible. This is one of the motivating forces behind my work. To show that alternatives are possible. And we can even learn do it ourselves. Thank you so much for engaging in this conversation. I very much appreciate your thoughts and support 💚 🙏
Bit of a problem in telling a "professional" all one's hangups.
In these data gathering days.
Need a trusted person to talk with and they are few and far between.
Betrayal happens of course.
However, when I was EPOI for my late father and he used to say that I was the only one who visited him I would tell him how my paying him proper attention was worth more than ten transients.
He would agree until next he needed reminding.
It's true of course, one real trusted friend is enough to get by with.
An excellent post. I have also found this to be true in my homeopathic practice. I have used radionic homeopathic remedies which work just as well as orthodox homeopathic remedies - and it is because they carry the same intangible vibrational information.
Thank you Veronika!
Your work always pushes the envelope in a considered way - your perspectives are always welcome here!

You remind me of what my farmer father used to say when I carried my pet lamb around.
*If I did that every day then eventually I would be able to carry a sheep*.

Yes. Listening to the whole person. 🧡 🙏

Are you offended if homeopathy is likened to a placebo?
Does it work on a skeptical person?
