Thanks Sarah for the shout out.

Homeopathy is an intriguing rabbit hole, that i hope, for the wellness on human and animal kind, sees a massive resurgence in attention and education. It takes time to understand.

Your updated title:

‘Homeopathy has remedies for people with conditions, not conditions.’

Maybe:

‘Homeopathy has remedies for people with conditions, not remedies that target a particular condition which commonly gets labelled as some diagnosed dis-ease - or state of ill-at-ease.

A headache is a condition, which the allopathic doctor would commomly prescribe paracetamol to help it go away. A homeopath (in my lay understanding) would assess the person and find out what led up to the state of ill-ness, what factors stimulate the symptoms and make it better or worse. The homeopathy would prescribe a remedy based upon the individuals collection of unique symptoms and experiences, with the aim of restoring the state of wellness. This remedy could be markedly different in type and/or potency for each person who has the same headache condition.

Medicine treats for short term gratification....make the headache go away ( who doesn't want that?!), but what if it repeatedly retuns, and then the drug fails to stop the symptom, a higher dose is needed, and then other side effect start to creep in. A new drug us added, and so the drug treadmill begins.

True Homeopathy, only uses one remedy at a time, with the overall intent of restoring you to a stafe of full health.

What i find fascinating is the homeopathic process with chronic ( long standing) conditions, where the remedies given aim to reverse the symptom profile that led to the current state. This process could take month, may be years to reverse.

I do worry that we don't have enough classically trained homeopaths (hard to find), and that the average joe cant afford their much needed services.

Yes, there aren't many actually practicing classical homeopathy currently...

But, thanks to prof. Vithoulkas and IACH this number grows every year, with diplomates worldwide!

For an EASY TO FIND list in your country search here: https://www.vithoulkas.com/academy/diploma-holders-worldwide/

ALSO, I just have to say that being in touch with and having worked with some of the best homeopaths in the world - these legitimate masters actually charge very little - like circa $100 AUD - with an approximately $30AUD cost (incl. post) for the remedy (with few exceptions homeopathic medicine is not patented and as such is inexpensive).

AND, an anecdote for you, my brother consulted one of these homeopaths for his wee girl who instead of sleeping would scream the house down every night...

So, for months on end, he or my S.I.L were literally driving hundreds of kms per night about the sunshine coast just to soothe but not put to sleep my wee niece.

For a total cost of less than $120AUD their homeopath (with one remedy) gave their whole family the gift of sleep - every night (and no more night-time drives) which remains 18months later.

He told me recently that they would have paid 100k for this!

Perhaps you're getting the cost of homeopathy tangled up with naturopathy which can cost an absolute fortune in products and testing etc.,?

And finally, as I am super transparent in all of my work - my in person appointment fees (thanks to generosity) are $57 for a child and $97 for an adult which often includes the remedy as I have a fair few... ( https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15piJqvTE3/ ) (online is more).

And finally, yes chronic disease is a complicated process which can only be successfully navigated with the help of a classical, well trained, versed in philosophy and theory, experienced homeopath (as per the example case reports included above).

Re costs, my point was not the one off visits, but that repeated visits are likely required for long standing chronic illness, and no health insurance now covers homeopathy, so it's all out of pocket.

Homeopaths can't advertise so reliant on word of mouth. My homeopath is A$150/hr then add travel to that as they are not a fan of online consults, something about body language etc. It adds up.

Not a criticism.
