I shared your post with one of my email subscribers (I get more email comments than Web ones) while reminding her of my Layers post last week, with this comment ...

"There will not be much improvement with your Mum if you're simply "throwing remedies at her". They have to be matched with her layer of disease and her level of health. You give one remedy, then follow up with the next remedy, and so on. This is why I'm so cagey about suggesting remedies."

Great Jayne, the aim of all of my work is to assist - so hopefully it will be helpful to your reader!

And yes, I agree cagey is good

- after all we want to prescribe a well indicated, well researched, well considered remedy 'having the utmost respect for the individual,' right?!

There is basically zero point otherwise!

Dr. M. L. Tyler said it best; ‘‘There is law behind cure; and if we desire to evoke power, we must conform to its conditions. The only known law of healing is Hahnemann’s similia similibus curentur…’’

and,

‘‘Law does not fail. It is we who fail in our attempts to put it in action. We may do bad work and call it homeopathy, discrediting it in the person’s eyes and in our own: only it did not happen to be homeopathy!’’

Good work! Keep it up!

I'm really interested in the idea of inflammation as the root of disease. I love the connection you make here -- because if the problem is inflammation, then how can disease be local? There may indeed be a susceptible system that breaks down more easily in the presence of low level, chronic, ineffective inflammation -- but that break down is not an isolated issue, it is merely the place where we can easily observe the damage. Thank you for tying these threads together!

Hi Chelsea!

Thank you, it was your latest post https://chelseasmock.substack.com/p/what-is-the-cause-of-which encouraged me to dig out an old uni paper on susceptibility which is where this article (in part) is derived.

Medical science is now (re)discovering that although inflammatory focus may be upon a specific organ in chronic diseases systemic inflammation exists, indicating the need for a systemic treatment approach. (1)

A bit of independent thought and a LOT of reading of published papers and homeopathic literature always results, for me, in wonder and marvel of the sophisticated understanding homeopathy offers to us all of living beings, their health & their disease (& it's possible removal by working within tried, tested and well defined parameters).

Keep your excellent posts and comments coming please!
